Salalah: Full-Day Tour with Lunch

This tour is a cultural and educational trip, tailored for tourists to experience the cultural part of Salalah. The experience begins by visiting the old town of Taqa, on the east side of Salalah. Its coastal location make it a perfect place for fishing, and following that you will go to the Taqa Fortress which was built in the 19th century. This castle was more recently renovated during the times of Sultan Qaboos, and reopened as a museum in 1994.
Following that, you will head to Khor Rori, a small fortified town which was founded as an outpost for the kingdom of Ḥaḑramawt back in approximately the 1st century A.D. You will also discover there the old city of Sumhuram, which is now protected as the Sumhuram Archeological Park. Following that, you will make your way to Mirbat Village, where you will visit the whitewashed tomb of Mohamed Bin Ali, said to be a descendant of the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad.
